Patient Facilities


Our expert Dieticians are always available to guide you with a meal plan that has optimum convalescence and health value. Your diet is always prepared in consultation with you and your doctor. If you have a special request, we will be more than happy to fulfil it. In that case, our Dieticians will help you finalise your menu to your satisfaction, before 10.30 a.m. for lunch and 6.30 p.m. for dinner.
Non-vegetarian food is also provided, on request, with your dietician's permission.
Additional fruit juices and snacks (charged extra) are provided through the cafeteria.
Any non-routine orders will take about 15 minutes to reach you.

Relatives are requested to utilize the cafeteria for all their food requirements.

Outside food is not permitted inside the hospital. The hospital maintains world-class infection control standards, and this is an important part of maintaining those standards. Please co-operate with us.

Bedding and Clothing.

Patients are provided with all the required clothing and any additional requests can be catered immediately. Abundant provision is made for bedding for patient's relatives, during their stay in the room or in the Patient's Relatives Waiting Area on the 1st floor.
IMPORTANT: Outside bedding is not allowed, under any circumstances, and for any reason whatsoever, in keeping with the hospital's infection control practises.

  • Suite Class: Separate single room with a bed for relative
  • Deluxe Room : Sofa-cum-bed with bedding for relative.

Laundry services are available, at a charge. Please request the nurse on duty for assistance.

Internet and Telephone.

Telephone: All rooms are provided with telephone facilities. Local / long distance call services can be availed through the operator on chargeable basis. Public phones are provided at every ward level and in all public areas. Please contact any hospital staff for help.

Internet: Relatives of Suite and Deluxe class patients can avail of an internet connection at a nominal hourly charge of Rs.50 (about US$1) if the patient or relative is carrying their own laptop. If you need access to a computer, the Nurse in charge or Duty Manager will be glad to help you.

Patient Counseling.

The hospital maintains a trained and experienced Counseling Department to offer psychological and counseling services for all patients and their relatives. Counselors is available between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The counselor also arranges meetings between the ICU doctor and patient's relatives, twice a day, at 11.00 a.m. and 5.00 p.m in the Counseling Room on the 1st floor.

Counselling sessions are also available on the 4th floor at 9.00 a.m. and at the 5th floor at 9.30 a.m. If you need any more information or help, the ward secretary or the Customer Care department will be glad to assist.

Relatives of patients undergoing surgery are also given regular updates.

Consent Form.
This is a statutory requirement and is necessary to be signed before any procedure. Your consultant / his assistant will explain to you the details of the procedure. You are advised to clear all your doubts with him and then sign the form.
Some procedures call for more than one consent form. Each procedure will be explained fully.


The hospital's 24-hour Pharmacy is conveniently located on the ground floor, to the left of the lobby. The Pharmacy also stocks a wide variety of everday hygiene consumables (soap, toothpaste, shampoo etc.) besides ALL the medications needed by patients.

Blood Bank.

The hospital has a policy of using only fresh blood for any procedure. Blood requirements are met by the hospital blood bank and are chargeable.
If possible, we request you to organise your own donors. Around 3 donors are required per patient. Donors must come to the hospital one day prior to surgery, between 8.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon, for donation. Charges will be levied for blood utilised, irrespective of whether the donated blood is being used during the procedure or not. A percentage of the charges are returned in case the blood is not utilised.
